Sifiron Torrent — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

The Sifiron Torrent app respects user privacy as a core principle. This privacy policy explains what data our app collects, how it is used and how it is protected.

2. Data Collected

a) Data Stored Inside the App (Stays on Your Device)

Downloaded torrent information (name, size, progress, save path)
App settings (speed limits, port number, download directory)
PIN lock (encrypted with SHA-256; never stored in plain text)
Download history

This data is kept solely on your device and never sent to any server.

b) Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Reports)

To improve app stability, we use Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, the following technical information may be collected automatically:

Crash stack trace
Device model and Android version
App version number
Crash timestamp

Important: Crashlytics is only active in release builds; it is disabled in development (debug) mode. Personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, etc.) is never collected.

3. Network Access

The app makes the following network connections via the BitTorrent protocol:

DHT (Distributed Hash Table) – for torrent discovery
Tracker servers – to obtain peer lists
Other torrent clients (peers) – for file transfer

These connections are an essential part of the BitTorrent protocol. Your IP address may be visible to the peers you connect to — this is true of all torrent clients.

4. Storage Permissions

The app requires storage permission to save downloaded files to your device. This permission is used solely to access the download folder.

5. Data Sharing

Sifiron Torrent does not sell, rent or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with Firebase in the Crashlytics context described above.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we will not knowingly collect data from such individuals.

7. Legal Responsibility

Sifiron Torrent is just a tool. Users are obligated to use the app only to download non-copyrighted or licensed content. All responsibility for unlawful use rests entirely with the user.

8. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or release notes.
